Body modification underwear for less oppression, more movement & breath
Whether you have landed on this page for body modification, gender affirmation or minimisation
— you probably have chest tissue and want to manage it differently. So did we.
for gender affirmation
A chest binder developed through study, wear-testing, and collaboration with gender affirming specialists and physiotherapists — exploring gentle reshaping over rigid compression.
for minimisation & comfort
The unexpected sister outcome of the Full-Bind research: a bra alternative for anyone who wants a base layer that is supportive, minimising, and easier to live in.
Full-Bind
This is not the same as
most binders on the market.
This is emergent tech in chest support and binding, born out of study and collaboration with gender affirming specialists and physiotherapists.
Chest binding is life-giving — the most popular non-invasive way for people with chest tissue to achieve a more masc. silhouette, or mitigate an obvious gender marker; leading to personal, social, even political gains. For many it is essential, yet can limit breathing and movement, causing rib pain, bruising and tissue degradation over time.
The HUG Full-Bind was developed through an academic design process with extensive iterative research, development and testing — aiming to explore a different approach: gentle reshaping over rigid compression.
The result was this fully stretch garment designed to stay in place and move with you; then, on the inside, a printed silicone design adheres to repositioned skin and reliably holds redistributed tissue where you position it through hours and activities, supporting both breath and range of motion while you choose your silhouette.
Half-Bind
The bra alternative that
turned up by accident.
The Half-Bind is the unexpected sister outcome of the research and design process for the Full-Bind. While developing and wear-testing a new approach to chest binding, the large-chested, reluctantly bra-dependent developer had the pivotal, penny-dropping realisation that this was the bra alternative they had always sought.
Like the Full-Bind, this is body-modification wear: a fully stretch, tankini-style base layer with no hardware, no underband, designed to stay put and move with you — paired with an internal printed silicone grip pattern that gently supports, adheres to repositioned skin, to hold redistributed breasts reliably in place through hours and activity. Check our testimonies if you are nervous that a bra without (outdated) bra architecture will actually provide support.
The result is liberating — comfort-first, versatile, very minimising support that allows you to mould your breast silhouette to suit each wear, outfit and occasion. You may find yourself wearing button-down shirts comfortably for the first time in years.
The Half-Bind is more preference-dependent than the Full-Bind as it is more like a sports top than a defining bra. Some wear-testers loved the comfort, breathability, under-breast air flow and silhouette/minimisation; others still wanted more traditional bra structure. Most were thrilled to now have an effective, reliable option.
Full-Bind feedback
Not just flatter — flexible,
breathable, durable, liveable.
Not every comment is glowing. Our priorities are comfort, breathability and safety of long-term wear. Some wearers have found it slightly less flattening than more rigid binders — for others it ticks every box. For all, it's good to have it as a daily option.
Half-Bind feedback
Support, ease, comfort,
& silhouette adjustment
The Half-Bind is a comfort-first versatile base layer — an excellent alternative to wearing a bra, but it is not the answer for every outfit or every person.
