Inclusive body-modification underwear Wellington, Aotearoa / New Zealand Second-skin support, redesigned

Full-Bind / Half-Bind

A new base layer.
Less oppressive. More alive.

Whether you’re here for body modification, gender affirmation, or minimisation, you probably have chest tissue and want to manage it differently. So did we.

Full-Bind

for gender affirmation

$85 made to move
100% stretch gentler support

A chest binder developed through academic R&D, wear-testing, and collaboration with gender-affirming specialists and physiotherapists — exploring gentle reshaping over rigid compression.

Half-Bind

for minimisation + comfort

$90 comfort-first
no hardware quietly liberating

The unexpected sister outcome of the Full-Bind research: a bra alternative for anyone, especially larger-breasted wearers, who want something supportive, minimising, and easier to live in.

Same pattern logic. Different outcome.

Human Under Garments makes Full binders that prioritise stretch, comfort and the ability to move and breathe with ease, and Half binders for anyone who wants something comfortable, supportive and minimising.

Full-Bind

Chest binding can be life-giving — but for many, traditional options can also limit breathing and movement, causing rib pain, bruising and tissue degradation over time. The HUG Full-Bind offers another way: fully stretch, designed to stay put, with an internal printed silicone system that helps hold redistributed tissue in place through hours and activity.

Half-Bind

The Half-Bind uses the same somatechnic logic in a softer material setup: a fully stretch tankini-style base layer with no hardware, paired with an internal silicone grip pattern that gently supports repositioned tissue and helps hold shape through hours and activity.

Full-Bind

Support, without the punishment.

The HUG Full-Bind was developed through an academic design process with iterative research, development and testing. The garment is designed to move with you; on the inside, a printed silicone design adheres to repositioned skin and reliably holds redistributed tissue in place while supporting breath and range of motion.

It is customised to your body. Correct fit = comfort + effectiveness. We do make vague generic sizes, but would prefer to make to measure.

“Thankyou so much for the binder, I do really love it and it works amazingly!”
“No sore ribs or anything… way more comfortable and durable.”
“The gender euphoria is absolutely phenomenal.”
“This is the first binder I’ve ever tried that actually has a flattening effect and still lets me breathe.”
“It’s so easy to take on and off.”
“It held my chest in place with only very minimal adjustments needed throughout the day.”

Half-Bind

The bra alternative that turned up by accident.

While developing a new approach to chest binding, the large-chested, reluctantly bra-dependent developer had the pivotal realisation that this was the bra alternative they had always sought.

The Half-Bind is more preference-dependent than the Full-Bind. It is more like a sports top than a defining bra: comfort-first, versatile, very minimising support that lets you choose comfort more often than not.
